Boeing to market Aeronautics Dominator UAV

The DA42 Dominator is designed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.

Aeronautics Ltd. has signed an memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA), which will market Aeronautics's DA42 Dominator unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The deal was signed at the Farnborough Air Show.

The DA42 Dominator is designed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions with an all-composite construction that provides durability, reduced maintenance, and lower aircraft weight to improve mission endurance.

Aeronautics CEO Avi Leumi said, "We believe that Boeing's vast experience and knowledge, together with Aeronautics' innovative technology and unmanned expertise, will position the DA42 Dominator as one of the leading Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) unmanned aircraft systems available on the market."

Boeing Military Aircraft president Chris Chadwick said, "The portion of the MALE unmanned systems market is rapidly expanding as the world's armed forces acquire a variety of vehicles for use in current conflicts and future missions. By collaborating with Aeronautics to market the DA42 Dominator, Boeing is able to offer a wider range of MALE solutions to current and potential customers, both domestically and internationally."

Aeronautics Ltd. is Israel's second largest UAV manufacturer. The Yavne-based company is a $200 million business with 700 employees worldwide.
