JVP, Accel Partners invest $12.5m in Swedish start-up

QlikTech CEO Mans Hultman: "Accel and Jerusalem Venture Partners - a dream team."

Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) and Accel Partners have invested $12.5 million in Swedish business intelligence software solutions provider QlikTech International. Banc of America Securities assisted QlikTech in securing the financing round.

QlikTech CEO Mans Hultman said, "We were looking for investors with a history of helping to build thought leading software companies as well as direct experience in the business intelligence market. The combination of Accel and JVP is a dream team."

QlikTech provides business performance management and intelligence solutions for interactive data analysis. There are currently 1,500 active customers in 43 countries using QlikView, including companies such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Top Flite, London Fog, Sara Lee, and The Campbell Soup Company.

QlikTech has fully owned subsidiaries in Germany and the US. The company today stated that it will use the funds to expand its international presence to other countries.
