HearMeOut is a voice based social network which allows people to post and listen to audio clips on Facebook and Twitter.

Carmaker Ford Motor Co. announced today that Israeli startup HearMeOut will be supporting its SYNC AppLink within its vehicles. HearMeOut is a new voice based social network app that allows people to post and listen to up to 42 second audio clips on a variety of social networks including Facebook and Twitter, as well as HearMeOuts own platform

With the addition of HearMeOut to the AppLink ecosystem, Ford is now offering a unique social network experience that is optimized to use while driving. Ford drivers in select markets will be able to interface with HearMeOut hands-free once connected to SYNC AppLInk, on either their Android or iOS mobile device.

AppLink is a software technology for SYNC, Fords innovative and award-winning in-vehicle connectivity system and is available up to 5-million Ford vehicles globally. It allows drivers to make hands-free telephone calls, control music and perform other functions with the use of voice commands that gives drivers voice control of smartphone apps helping them keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

With HearMeOut on SYNC AppLink, drivers can record their thoughts and play their feeds - without having to touch or even look at their phones. "This means staying connected and staying safe with hands on the wheel and eyes on the road" said Scott Lyons, business and partner development, Ford Connected Vehicle and Services.

This is Ford's first AppLink application to come from Israel's high tech community as the car manufacturer boosts its efforts to attract and work with Israeli startups

HearMeOut founder and CEO Moran Chamsi said, Being a part of the important efforts to combine social media usage with driving is amazing. We have worked hard with Fords team to make our product driver friendly and know this is the first step towards making everyone heard anytime, anywhere."
