Labor dispute declared at Makhteshim Agan

The Histadrut wants the CEO to confirm that the controlling shareholder will not sell the company.

The Negev region Histadrut (General Federation of Labor in Israel) on Thursday declared a labor dispute at Koor Industries (NYSE: KOR; TASE: KOR) subsidiary MA Industries (Makhteshim Agan) (TASE: MAIN). The Histadrut is demanding that Makhteshim CEO David Nir deny recent reports that controlling shareholder Nochi Dankner intends to sell the company. The dispute comes in spite of the fact that Dankner's spokespersons vehemently denied the reports two weeks ago, when he increased his holdings in Makhteshim through a NIS 106 million share acquisition.
