Shikun u'Binui Real Estate has already obtained Israel Standard 5281 for two projects.
Shikun u'Binui Real Estate Ltd. (formerly Shikun Ovdim), controlled by Shari Arison, will install solar energy panels on the roofs of its projects under construction. The solar panels will provide renewable energy for electricity to power the buildings' public areas.
Shikun u'Binui Real Estate said that the installation of renewable energy facilities on scores of projects under construction will save tenants money on building maintenance, as well as be environmentally friendly. The solar energy program comes after the company last month obtained Israel Standard 5281 for buildings with reduced environmental impact for projects in Netanya and Karkur.
Shari Arison's Arison Holdings Ltd. controls Shikun u'Binui Real Estate through Shikun u'Binui Holdings Ltd. (Housing and Construction) (TASE: HUCN).
