A delegation representing Israeli companies in the electronics and telecommunications field this week began a flurry of intensive meetings in China to set up joint ventures with local companies there and to promote Israeli involvement in a huge project dubbed "The Three Golds". The delegation to China was initiated by the Export Institute and Israel’s Economic Attache to China, Tal Kelem.
The delegation includes representatives of ECI (Engineering Cybernetics Incorporated)., Telecom, Softlink, Micro-Voice, ORNET Data Communication Technologies, PLB Technologies, Algorithmic Research and TAS.
The project will become the centerpiece of China’s information technology and electronics sector in forthcoming years. It includes three components: GOLDEN BRIDGE, involving the establishment of infrastructure to transfer data; GOLDEN CARD, involving the establishment of an electronics systems for money transfers; GOLDEN CUSTOMS, involving the establishment of an infrastructure to conduct foreign trade electronically, without paperwork.
CEO of the Israel Export Institute, Amir Chaik, stressed that Israeli companies interested in taking part in the project are obliged to set up joint ventures with Chinese companies.
