Medical Compression completes blood circulaton device trial

The firm expects that the ability to avoid the use of drugs can make the company's device a more attractive option

MCS Medical Compression Systems (DBN) Ltd. (TASE:MDCL) has completed the clinical trial to test the relative effectiveness of its non-invasive compression system for the prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis. The trial was conducted at several medical centers on patients who underwent protracted knee replacement surgery. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has already approved the product.

The company's product, as well as similar products of other companies are already in use during some surgeries, but only in conjunction with drugs. MCS believes that its product (as opposed to the others) works without accompanying medication and now has evidence to back the claim. The firm expects that the ability to avoid the use of drugs can make the company's device a more attractive option.
