Accounting group picks rare woman

The Alliott Group is an independent network of accounting firms.

Alliott Group Israel has appointed Hagit Liberman-Peles as chairwoman. She is currently the head of the Yehuda Liberman & Co. CPA, which was founded by her father in 1960. The appointment is considered extraordinary in sector, given the scarcity of women at the head of accounting firms.

Liberman-Peles is the wife of Netanya Municipal Theater artistic and theater director Dor Peles, and a mother of three. She feels that the appointment has come at the right time. "My wish to combine a career with family was a barrier to challenges for a while. Now that my children are in high school and the IDF, this appointment comes at the right time. Last year, I couldn’t have done it because I was still busy with my role as a mother," she said.

Liberman-Peles added, "We began talking about establishing the group two years ago. We met the heads of several firms that wanted the benefits of a large organization without losing the intimacy and individualism of a small firm. Each of us built our firms with our own hands or inherited it. We decided to establish a group that would meet these needs."

The firms sought an international network that would serve as the umbrella for their individual activities, and picked Alliott Group, an independent network of firms of accountants, auditors, tax advisers, lawyers, and consultants.
