Nutritional supplement co Nutrinia raises $1.1m

Nutrinia develops bioactive feed supplements for infant formulas and animal feed.

Food supplement company Nutrinia Ltd. has raised $1.1 million from Maabarot Products (TASE: MABR), Jacobs Investments Inc. and a number of angel investors. Together with the latest financing round, the company has raised $3 million to date.

Nutrinia develops bioactive feed supplements for infant formulas and animal feed. The company's products are at various stages of development, with some now currently undergoing clinical trials and others already at the commercialization stage.

Nutrinia was founded under the auspices of the New Generation Technology (NGT) technology incubator in Nazareth by by Prof. Naim Shehadeh, head of the Pediatric Diabetes Clinic at the Rambam Medical Center, with investment from Maabarot which produces market infant formula under the Materna brand. The company's CEO is Chen Porat, former CEO of UC Care.
