NICE wins largest contract

The firm will provide security solutions for an unnamed EMEA government agency.

NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) has won its largest-ever contract, a $20 million order from a current customer, an EMEA government agency, whose identity the company declined to disclose. The security project will be implemented over the next 18 months.

The government agency will deploy NICE security technologies, which will all be integrated to provide the fullest picture of the city’s security status at any given moment and from a large number of possible angles. NICE will provide IP-based video surveillance with content analytics, license plate recognition and face capture, GPS-based video terminals, and mobile video sensors. Security personnel at the command and control center will use the NICE Inform multi-media command and control solution.

NICE CEO Haim Shani noted that this was the company's largest single order to date. He added, "The order reflects the success of our strategy to offer and implement large-scale, end-to-end security projects."

NICE's share fell 4.2% on Nasdaq yesterday to $19.42. The share was flat at NIS 76 by midday on the TASE today.
