The company will install a range of systems in planes and helicopters.
Defense electronics contractor Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) has won several plane and helicopter upgrade contracts in Europe worth $80 million altogether. The contracts will be carried out over the next three years.
Elbit Systems will install display systems, battle mission computers, command and control systems, advanced helmet systems, and other systems.
Elbit Systems Aerospace Division joint general manager Yoram Shmuely noted that the contracts were all with current customers.
Elbit Systems' share rose 4.8% yesterday on Nasdaq to $44.25. The share rose 1.6% in morning trading on the TASE to NIS 167.70.
