Microsoft is launching its Dreamspark program in Israel.
Microsoft Israel Ltd. will provide computer sciences students $10 million in software development and design tools as part of Microsoft Corporation's (Nasdaq: MSFT) global Dreamspark program. The program, founded in 2008 by former Microsoft chairman Bill Gates and managed by him, offers students a package of professional development and software design tools at no cost.
Dreamspark currently helps 35 million students in dozens of countries. The launch of the program in Israel will help thousands of college and university students obtain free kits of software development and design tools, worth thousands of dollars, for free. The $10 million amount is the consumer price of these tools.
