Haifa incubator invests in three new ventures

The HiCenter Incubator is also seeking Chief Scientist approval for investments in five more ventures.

Haifa Economic Corporation subsidiary Haifa Hi-Tech Initiatives Center (HiCenter) has received approval from the Chief Scientist for three new ventures at an investment of NIS 4 million. The incubator was established following the Second Lebanon War in 2006 to encourage economic development in the north.

The three new ventures are: Quammy, which is developing solutions for mobile phone contact lists; InfoCall, which has developed an engine for managing communities and content on cellular networks; and SpaceMute, which is developing technologies based on quantum theory to lower noise levels.

HiCenter has also submitted five more ventures to the Chief Scientist for the approval of investments worth NIS 10 million. These projects have already been approved by HiCenter's investment committee.
