Netanyahu speech no turn on

Last night's television ratings were dominated by talent contest "A Star is Born 7".

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's policy speech at Bar Ilan University last night was screened on all of Israel's main television channels but failed to raise the average ratings of the news broadcasts. The average rating for Channel 2 News, during which the speech was shown, was just 17.5% among Jewish households. Channel 10 scored a 10.4% rating for its news broadcast. In both cases, the ratings are average for the current period, and even slightly below average.

In the case of Channel 1, the speech can be isolated from the channel's regular news broadcast. Netanyahu's speech was broadcast in real time at 20:00, and achieved a rating of 7.8% among Jewish households on that channel, whose regular news broadcast "Mabat" at 21:00 attracted an 8.4% rating.

On the whole, the speech did not affect the ratings table yesterday, with the auditions for talent contest "A Star is Born 7" leading the ratings with a 27.7% viewing figure among Jewish households.
