Check Point CEO gets minimum wage and options

The options are worth $23.6 million.

As in 2008, Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP) CEO Gil Shwed earned the minimum wage. At the same time, he was allocated a million share options at market price. This would make the options worth $23.6 million. These figures were reported on the invitation to the company's annual shareholders general meeting on July 29 at Check Point's offices in Tel Aviv.

Shwed's salary is just NIS 3,859 per month. Shwed is Check Point's founder and is today the company's largest shareholder with a 15.5% stake worth $793 million.
