Regulator probes water meter makers

The Antitrust Authority wants to know if there is a cartel.

The Antitrust Authority is investigating possible collusion between Israel's water meter manufacturers for suspected restraint of trade. Antitrust Authority investigators today raided the offices of some companies.

One of the companies raided was Arad Ltd. (TASE:ARD), which notified the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) of the incident. The company said that it had been asked to provide documents, and that some employees had been detained for questioning.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that the Antitrust Authority has detained executives at water meter makers suspected of restraint of trade.
