Foreign resident buys Jerusalem house for NIS 28m

The Rehavia building, which has five apartments, was owned by the late Supreme Court Judge Moshe Landau.

A foreign resident has bought the Jerusalem apartment of late Supreme Court Judge Moshe Landau for NIS 28 million.

Judge Landau was the fifth president of the Supreme Court and heard the Eichmann trial in 1961. He died in May 2011 at the age of 99. He bequeathed to his heirs a unique 600-square meter two-floor stone building on an 800-square meter lot at 10 Alharizi Street in Jerusalem's prestigious Rehavia neighborhood. The house has five 100-square meter apartments. The building is slated for preservation.

The buyer splits his time between Jerusalem and Europe. He paid cash, and did not take a mortgage. The price was in line with prices for similar properties in the area in the past year.

David Moonshine of Moonshine Realty and Daniel Buzaglo of Zimuki Real Estate Agents brokered the deal
