The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) was mixed today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.07% to 1,423.37 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.11% to 1,279.36 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index fell 0.32% to 313.43 points. Turnover was NIS 1.19 billion.
In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.626/$, down 0.275% on Friday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.686/€, down 0.306%.
In the bond market, both long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds and long term Galil CPI-linked government bonds fell. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.05%.
In the stock market, Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 2.17% for the largest gain on the Tel Aviv 25 Index. Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 0.50%.
The telecom companies were in negative territory with Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) falling 2.29% for the largest drop on the Tel Aviv 25 Index. Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) fell 1.58% and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell 0.5%.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.43% on the day's largest trading turnover. Israel Chemicals Ltd. (TASE: ICL) fell 1.23% and parent company Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) was down 1.09%.
There were handsome gains for Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) up 1.32%, and Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) up 1.31%, but Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 1.57%.
