Mon: Tel Aviv 25 edges up to new record

Mizrahi Tefahot Bank was the biggest gainer today and Frutarom the biggest decliner on the TA-25 Index.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today to yet another record. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.03% to 1,535.60 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.05% to 1,360.23 points, but the BlueTech 50 Index fell 0.23% to 374.76 points. Turnover was NIS 1.65 billion.

A late rally allowed the Tel Aviv 25 Index to move into positive territory and rise for the fourth straight session.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.986/$, up 0.504% on Friday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.478/€, up 0.688%.

In the bond market, the corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.10%.

In the stock market, Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) rose 2.88% for the largest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index but Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 0.35% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Frutarom Industries Ltd. (TASE: FRUT; LSE:FRUT; OTCBB:FRUTF) fell 2.01% for the largest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.

Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell a further 1.87% after yesterday's heavy losses and Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA; TASE: ORMT) fell 1.32%. Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) fell 1.37%.

Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 0.32% but its energy exploration and production units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling Limited Partnership (TASE: DEDR.L) fell 0.36% and 1.38% respectively.
