Thu: Results depress Bezeq

The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose today, making it a 1% rise for the week, but leading stock Bezeq was down sharply.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.28%, to 1,573.66 points and the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.09%, to 1,360.49 points. The BlueTech Index fell 0.65%, to 342.83 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.02%, to 315.74 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.45 billion.

The Tel Aviv 25 index rose 1.0% over the week, and is up 7.4% for the year-to-date.

On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was set 0.49% lower, at NIS 3.885/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was flat, at NIS 4.1627/€.

Bezeq, which reported a 5% drop in third quarter profit today, led trading, and fell 0.46%. Teva was second in the activity table, and rose 2.19%. The big two banks moved in opposite directions: Bank Leumi rose 0.21%, while Bank Hapoalim fell 1.02%. Last of the top five Frutarom was among the day's most notable advancers, rising 5.68%.

US biomed companies MannKind and Navidea were the sharpest decliners, down 6.12% and 5.79%. IDB Development fell 5.02% and Migdal 3.66%.
