The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.17% to 1,444.63 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.07%, to 1,297.87 points; but the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.12% to 371.06 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.21% to 334.02 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.40 billion.
On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate today down 0.141% at NIS 3.536/$ from Friday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate down 0.111% at 3.952/€.
On the market, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 2.99% on the day's biggest trading turnover, ending its miserable run since the ISA probe began last week. Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) rose 3.35% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 1.91% and Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) rose 2.49%.
The banks led the declines today. Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) fell 1.45% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) fell 1.30%, Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) fell 1.12% aqnd Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) fell 0.84%. Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) fell 1.41%.
