Caesar Stone to invest NIS 180m to build new plant

The factory in the Barlev industrial zone will employ 150-200 people.

Caesar Stone Quartz Surfaces will invest NIS 180 million to build a new factory in the Barlev industrial zone in Misgav Regional Council, the council announced yesterday. The factory will employ 150-200 people.

The factory has received an initial 42-dunam (10.5-acre) lot to build a 12,000-sq.m. structure. It will receive another 18 dunam (4.5 acres) in two years to build an additional 4,000 sq.m. Most of Caesar Stone's output is exported. Caesar Stone has one factory in Kibbutz Sdot Yam, which makes marble products.

Barlev industrial zone CEO Moshe Yonas said permission had already been obtained for carrying out the infrastructure work on the first lot allocated to Caesar Stone. The Investment Promotion Center approved the plan a few days ago. The factory is scheduled to open within 18 months.
