54,000 of the homes are in Rishon Lezion, Petah Tikva, Ramat Gan and Ramat Hasharon.

Only last week the Knesset enacted the Planning Committee for Preferential Housing Law and the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Interior are already formulating their first plan for the special committee that has been established. "Globes" has learned that the ministries want to fast track seven plans totaling 72,000 homes for sale and rent, mainly in central Israel. According to the Law 30% of the new homes built will be for rental rather than sale. The seven plans are 12,000 homes (3,600 for rent) in the Syrkin IDF base in Petah Tikvah, 10,000 homes (3,000 for rent) in the Tzrifin IDF base near Rishon Lezion, 10,000 homes (3,000 for rent) on the Western side of the Israel Military Industries Ltd. (IMI) complex in Ramat Hasharon, 13,000 homes 3,900 for rent) at the IDF College in Ramat Hasharon near the Glilot Interchange, 9,000 homes (2,700 for rent) in the Tel Hashomer base in Ramat Gan, 10,000 homes (3,000 for rent) in Jadida Makr in the Western Galilee, and 8,000 homes (2,400 for rent) in Kiryat Gat, west of the Plugot Junction.
