The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today to another new record. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 1.14% to 1,535.17 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 1.18% to 1,359.61 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.92% to 375.63 points. Turnover was NIS 760 million.
In the foreign currency market, futures trading pointed to a the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate rising 0.59% from Friday's rate to NIS 3.989/$, and a 0.52% rise in the shekel-euro representative exchange rate to NIS 4.471/€.
In the bond market, the corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 0.19%.
In the stock market, Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA; TASE: ORMT) rose 3.65% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index followed by Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR), which rose 3.52%. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 2.28% on the day biggest trading turnover. Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 1.04%.
Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 5.02%, the only Tel Aviv 25 index stock to fall today.
Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 1.45% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 1.77%.
Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) rose 2.86%, and NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) rose 2.29%. Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) energy exploration units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling Limited Partnership (TASE: DEDR.L) rose 1.38% and 2.46% respectively.
