The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.13%, to 1,398.24 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.07%, to 1,256.31 points. The BlueTech Index fell 0.17%, to 315.36 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.07%, to 322.6 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.54 billion.
Bank Hapoalim led trading, and rose 0.30%. Bank Leumi, which was next on the list, fell 0.37%. Pharmaceuticals stocks Teva and Perrigo also went in opposite directions: Teva rose 0.16%, while Perrigo fell 0.26%. Israel Chemicals rose 0.56%.
Protalix, which today announced the appointment of former Teva CEO Shlomo Yanai as chairman, rose 2.72%, and Opko Health rose 2.49%.
Technology stocks were weak, with Silicom down 5.67%, Tower Semiconductor down 3.9%, EZchip down 3.08%, Nova Measuring Instruments down 2.78%, and Perion Networks down 1.8%.
