Tue: Gazit-Globe fails to lift TASE

Gazit-Globe rose strongly for the second successive day while Opko was the biggest loser on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.07% to 1,450.84 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.05%, to 1,267.23 points; and the BlueTech Index fell 0.95% to 367.03 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.05% 320.40 points. Trading turnover was NIS 921.6 million.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.233% today compared with yesterday's rate at NIS 3.848/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.313% at NIS 4.076/€.

On the market, Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) rose 2.52% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 index today following yesterday's rise of 2.27%. Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) rose 1.99% and Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) rose 1.70%.

Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 1.80% and its energy exploration and production units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) rose 1.09% and 1.02% respectively.

Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 1.28% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 index today. Mylan fell 1.12% and NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) fell 0.82%. Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) fell 0.79% and Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) fell 0.13% on the day's biggest trading turnover.
