Wed: Teva drags down TASE

Teva returned to losing ways today while Delek and Bezeq bucked the market.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.91% to 1,419.73 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index fell 1.13%, to 1,291.02 points; and the BlueTech Global Index fell 1.98% to 373.31 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.05% to 333.74 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.43 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.083% today compared with yesterday's rate at NIS 3.603/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.429% at NIS 4.002/€.

On the market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 3.86% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index on the day's biggest trading turnover. Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 1.72% and Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA; TASE: ORA) fell 1.56%.Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) fell 2.60% and Alony Hetz Property and Investments Ltd. (TASE: ALHE) fell 2.27%. Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) fell 2.64%.

Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) fell 1.76% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) fell 1.62%. Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) fell 2.67% and Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) fell 1.98%.

Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 2.33% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index and Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 1.88%.
