Warren Buffett is due to land in Israel this evening for a thirty-six hour visit.
The Wertheimer family has booked all 13 suites at Jerusalem's Kind David Hotel, in order to host the legendary billionaire from Omaha, Nebraska, Warren Buffett and his entourage. Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway bought 80% of Iscar from the Wertheimers for $4 billion in May this year, and said at the time that he would visit Israel.
The visitors are due to land in Israel this evening in a private plane, accompanied by Eitan Wertheimer. They will apparently spend tonight in a hotel in Tel Aviv, and travel to Jerusalem tomorrow, when Buffett is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and then to proceed to a reception for hundreds of invited guests.
Buffett's stay in Israel will be short - he is scheduled to fly back to the US on Tuesday.
