Milomor mulls Bucharest IPO for unit

Milomor Trade has three areas of business in Romania.

Milomor Ltd. (TASE: MILO) is considering floating its wholly owned sub-subsidiary HAT Group Romania Co. SA on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Milomor controls HAT through Milomor Trade and Communication Ltd. (TASE:MLTR).

Milomor Trade has three areas of business in Romania: HAT, the licensed distributor of Samsung cellular devices; MCS Communications, a retail chain which owns 61 stores under the SAY brand; and 24.5% of BOOM, a DTH multi-channel satellite television broadcaster (Elron Electronic Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: ELRN; TASE: ELRN) owns 32.2% of BOOM. HAT owns 65% of EPRS HAT Telecom Srl, which sells airtime in advance via electronic charging.

In January, Milomor CEO Freddi Robinson agreed to sell 50.1% of Milomor Trade to Israeli businessman Amnon Sela, who has business interests in Romania, for NIS 65.8 million.
