Madonna fan websites claim that she will give a performance in Tel Aviv on September 17, as part of a European tour for her latest album. Leading Israeli producers, such as Shuki Weiss and Jewish-German agent and manager Marcel Abraham, deny the reports, as does the venue’s management. Wiess has arranged many performances by international artists, including Phil Collins, and is handling performances by Roger Waters in June and Depeche Mode in August. Abraham is arranging performances by Sting and RickyMartin.
Madonna last visited Israel in September 2004 for a private visit, during which she gave no performances.
