Optibase to collaborate with SeaChange on IPTV

Optibase will integrate its carrier-class media gateways with SeaChange's TV platform, sold to communications companies.

Optibase Ltd. (Nasdaq: OBAS) and SeaChange International (Nasdaq:SEAC) will extend their product interoperability in support of IPTV services. Optibase will integrate its carrier-class media gateways with SeaChange's TV platform, sold to communications companies.

Optibase’s solutions will provide compression and broadcasting capabilities. The collaboration with SeaChange will enable the two companies to complete video-on-demand (VoD), interactive advertising, and content-dependent applications solutions.

IPTV solutions account for a quarter of Optibase’s sales, and the company believes that revenue will increase in the coming years. The company has a market cap of $36 million. It posted a net loss of $3.6 million on $8.3 million revenue in the first half of 2006. It will publish its financial report for the third quarter tomorrow.
