FDA approves Given Imaging’s esophagus PillCam

Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Ethicon is due to begin marketing by year-end.

Given Imaging Ltd. (Nasdaq: GIVN; TASE: GIVN) has obtained US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for its esophagus PillCam ESO 2 video capsule for imaging the esophagus.

Given Imaging has granted US marketing rights for the PillCam ESO 2 to Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) subsidiary Ethicon Endo-Surgery’s InScope division. Marketing is expected to begin by year-end.
