Metro Ontario to invest in Isotopia Molecular Imaging

The company will make substances for use in PET scans and conduct nuclear medical research.

Metro Ontario will invest NIS 13 million in Isotopia Molecular Imaging Ltd, which makes substances for use in PET scans.

Isotopia will be run by Dr. Eli Shalom, a nuclear pharmacist, who says that the company will compete against the production of atomic substances for use by the Nahal Soreq medical laboratory and the Hadassah Medical Organization laboratories. The company will also conduct nuclear medical research.

Shalom said that Isotopia would expand the range of substances and markers produced for oncology and cardiology centers in Israel.
