BreathID Ltd. (TASE:BRTI) has signed a contract with Endoscopy UK Ltd. worth a minimum of NIS 1.5 million to distribute the company’s diagnostic kits and peripherals in the UK and Ireland.
Endoscopy UK undertook to place orders worth a minimum of NIS 1.5 million, including at least 12 kits and their peripheral equipment by the end of 2008. Three of the kits will be ordered by the end of this year.
BreathID CEO Uri Geiger said, “The agreement with Endoscopy UK is the company’s first contract in the European market since obtaining CE Mark certification for the BreathID system. The company expects to sign more contracts by year-end.”
The company added that the British gastroenterology and liver markets are among the most advanced in the world. Endoscopy UK is a subsidiary of United Drug plc (LSE; ISE:UDG), an Irish company with €1.5 billion in annual sales.
BreathID has also signed a distribution contract with AsiaHQ Inc., worth a minimum of $150,000 by the end of 2007. The contract covers China, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, India and Australia, but not Japan, where BreathID has a separate distributor.
