Knesset cafeteria reopens after Listeria scare

The Health Ministry closed the cafeteria on Friday after the weekly health test in the kitchen.

The Knesset cafeteria reopened today after being closed for three days. The Ministry of Health closed the cafeteria on Friday after the weekly health test in the kitchen found suspected Listeria bacteria in two chilled food products provided by an external source.

The source of Listeria is in raw vegetables and other food, but is killed by cooking or disinfectants.

The cafeteria was reopened following new tests by the Knesset doctor and the Ministry of Health, after a thorough cleaning.
