AdsONScreen seeks to add to TV marketing options

The new firm at Targetech sees a new income stream for businesses and organizations that show television.

A new project at Netanya-based Targetech Innovation Center called AdsONScreen plans to plant targeted advertisements onto television broadcasts. The messages are customized based on the owner of the TV set (such as hotels, hospitals, restaurants, or bars), and on the advertiser’s requirements.

AdsONScreen aims to transform existing TV screens into targeted advertisement stations with customized advertisements for the business's customers. As the owner may define the nature of messages it is interested in, it is guaranteed that the messages hosted by its TV screens will not interfere with its regular course of business. In addition, the messages are automatically fitted to the nature of the business. The result is increased impact for advertisers (as this is the first TV targeted advertisement solution), and a new income stream for the host business. Furthermore, as the advertiser may define its target crowd very specifically, small businesses that were not able to afford television advertisement hitherto are now faced with the possibility of accessing their potential customers via TV advertisement. The technology behind AdsONScreen includes sophisticated "match-making" and state of the art video manipulation and processing techniques, dynamic insertion of video messages, and identification of the nature of video content, in order to allow best fitting of messages to the currently observed TV program.
