CEO Zvi Friedman has mentioned possible large contracts in the coming year.
Alvarion Ltd. (Nasdaq: ALVR; TASE: ALVR) CEO Zvi Friedman said in a recent conference call that the company expected to win large contracts in the coming year worth more than $20 million altogether. One of these contracts may be related to negotiations with France Telecom (NYSE; Euronext: FTE).
Sources inform ''Globes'' that Alvarion is close to signing a contract with France Telecom. Alvarion declined to comment on the report. The company provides WiMAX telecommunications solutions.
Alvarion has a market cap of $590 million. The share fell 2.4% at the opening on Nasdaq today, and fell 1.8% on the TASE.
