Live Hotmail, a new MSN e-mail service, will replace its older hotmail.co.il service.
MSN Israel will office replace its hotmail.co.il service will Live Hotmail on January 6, 2008, a few months after MSN first launched the new service. MSN Israel has replaced 97% of the old e-mailboxes over the past four months. The new e-mailboxes have five gigabytes of memory and offer a range of advanced communications services, including entry interfaces and updates between Hotmail and Messenger.
MSN Israel reports that it recruited 50,000 new e-mail subscribers over the past month, and that it now has 702,000 subscribers.
MSNIsrael general manager Shraga Mor said, "The launch of Live Hotmail will enable Israeli surfers to enjoy the world's leading e-mail service. This measure is another step from a surfer strategy to a customer strategy."
