Sialo Technology Israel Ltd. (TASE: SALO) has obtained an EU patent for its polymeric stent useful for the treatment of salivary glands ducts. The patent underpins the company's R&D for its device for endoscopic and surgical treatment of salivary gland stones. The patent protects the product's polymers.
In May, Sialo obtained US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the company's first product, a balloon that expands the salivary gland for endoscopy treatment of salivary gland stones.
