Earlier this week EU officials raided drug companies across Europe.
"Reuters" reports that earlier this week European Commission officials raided the London offices of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) and a privately-held French drug maker Servier along with other drug companies across Europe.
Teva began the day up 0.84% on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) but was down 1.3% by the afternoon.
Teva's spokesperson said the company was cooperating with officials but declined to give further details. The European Commission said itself that regulators had raided a number of companies across the EU on suspicion that they were pursuing restrictive practices. "Reuters" added that the inspections come on the eve of a preliminary report into the pharmaceuticals sector following a year-long investigation by Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes, due on Friday.
