Kodak Israel streamlining hits co-CEO

Remaining operations in Israel will focus on development.

Kodak Israel co-managing director Avi Waldman will leave the company at the end of the month, after three years in the job. His departure is part of the company's streamlining measures, which include 200 layoffs and the transfer of production lines to China. When the measures are completed, Kodak Israel's workforce will shrink to 650 from 900 a year ago.

Waldman has worked for Kodak Israel ever since Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) acquired Creo in 2005. Kodak Israel's core business is preprinting technology for wide printing for billboards, which it acquired from Creo and Scitex Digital Printing. When the streamlining is completed, Kodak Israel will focus on R&D, which employees 400 people.
