LifeWave shares rise on Europe patent news

The company developed an electrical stimulation device for the treatment of chronic wounds.

LifeWave Hi-Tech Medical Devices Ltd. (TASE:LIFE) has obtained a patent for its BST (Best Sore Treatment) electrical stimulation device for the treatment of chronic wounds from the European Patent Office. The company now owns the patent, which strengthens its intellectual property portfolio, and strengthens the ability to move into and market the device in Europe.

LifeWave's share rose 8.8% by mid-afternoon to NIS 6.89. The share has risen over 300% since the beginning of the year.

Six weeks ago, LifeWave raised NIS 850 million from a private investor, whose name the company has declined to disclose.
