Ethernet co RADiflow looks to raise $3m

RAD Group founded the company last year to operate in the industrial Ethernet sector.

Industrial Ethernet company RADiflow is looking to raise $3 million. The company was founded last year by RAD Group, controlled by Yehuda and Zohar Zisapel. RADiflow is headed by Ilan Barda, who served the RAD Group in the 1990s and until 18 months ago managed Nokia-Siemens (NSN) activities in Israel.

Barda said, "We discovered that there is a growing need for Ethernet communications even in the industrial world."

The research company ARC estimates that the market for Ethernet in industry is worth $800 million a year and will grow 13% a year to $1.3 billion by 2014. RADiflow offers communications switches that strengthen assurance alongside addition relevant applications for Ethernet such as control and smart management of processes.

The company is located in the RAD Biomed incubator.
