The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.4% to 1,259.17 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.5% to 1,161.69 points, and the Tel-Tech Index rose 0.7% to 230.80 points. Turnover was NIS 1.8 billion.
The closing level for the Tel Aviv 25 was a record high, breaking through the record it set last week.
Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) rose 2.4%, after Midroog Ltd. kept its debt rating at Aa3 yesterday.
Investors again sought energy firms, as drilling began at the Leviathan structure. Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) rose 2%, and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) rose 2.1%. Ratio Oil Exploration (1992) LP (TASE:RATI.L) jumped 5.1%.
Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd. (TASE: MAIN) shares fell 0.7%, as workers warn of a strike amid talk of the company's acquisition by a Chinese firm. Parent company Discount Investment Corporation (TASE: DISI) fell 2.3%.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.'s (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) share price remained unchanged. Barclays Capital noted the potential in continued development of Laquinimod.
Israel Chemicals Ltd. (TASE: ICL) had the heaviest turnover, at NIS 143 million, and ended 0.6% higher. The share has added 10% in the past ten trading days.
The bond market was higher today. Long-term Shahar shekel bonds rose by about 0.3%, and long-term Galil CPI-linked bonds rose up to 0.5%. The corporate bond Tel-Bond 60 Index rose 0.3%.
