Building to begin on Haifa life sciences park

The life sciences park will include five buildings with 85,000 square meters of space opposite the Matam high-tech park.

Industrial Buildings Corp. (TASE: IBLD) and the Haifa Economic Corporation have signed an agreement setting the size, cost, and financial sharing for the NIS 500 million life sciences industrial park that will be built at the southern entrance to the city, adjacent to the Matam high-tech park.

The life sciences park will include five buildings with 85,000 square meters of space on a 31-dunam (7.75-acre) site. Construction of the first building is due to begin in a few weeks at a cost of almost NIS 100 million. The chief contractor will be chosen by the tender that was published last week.

Industrial Building is a subsidiary of Fishman Holdings, owned by Eliezer Fishman, the controlling shareholder in “Globes”.
