Mon: TASE rally continues despite Gaza conflict

Israel Chemicals rose 1.2% on the day's biggest turnover, as energy exploration companies again rose strongly.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.65% to 1,206.13 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.67% to 1,063.49 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.35% to 327.32 points. Turnover was NIS 719.3 million.

The TASE rose again today on the sixth day of Operation Pillar of Cloud, in line with gains on European markets and at the opening on Wall Street.

In the bond market, long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds were unchanged long-term Galil CPI-linked government bonds ranged between losses of 0.1% and gains of 0.1%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.08%.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.94/$, down 0.30% on Friday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 5.031/€, down 0.20%.

In the stock market, energy exploration companies again stood out today. Tamar and Leviathan partners Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) rose another 2.4% and 2.2%, respectively, for the biggest gains among Tel Aviv 25 shares, and their parent company, Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG), rose 0.3%. Their Tamar partner Isramco Ltd. (Nasdaq: ISRL; TASE: ISRA.L) rose 2.3%.

In response to Avner and Delek Drilling's financial reports, published yesterday, Leumi Capital Markets said, "The main update was about the slowing output at the emptying Yam Tethys reservoir, the capital investments in the Tamar reservoir, and the exploration costs at Leviathan and Shimshon."

Israel Chemicals Ltd. (TASE: ICL) rose 1.2% on the day's biggest turnover of NIS 77 million.

Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) rose 2.1%. IBI Investment House today cut its recommendation for the food company to "Neutral", ahead of the publication of its financials. Its peer on the Tel Aviv 25 Index, Osem Investments Ltd. (TASE: OSEM), rose 1%.

On the Tel Aviv 100 Index, Rami Levy Chain Stores Hashikma Marketing 2006 Ltd. (TASE:RMLI) rose 1.4%. Excellence Brokerage predicts that the independent supermarket chain will report 27% profit growth for the third quarter.

Alony Hetz Property and Investments Ltd. (TASE: ALHE) rose 3.8%, after publishing its financial report.
