Dune Medical Devices closes $5m funding round

Apax Partners Funds led the round for the surgical oncology technology developer.

Dune Medical Devices Ltd., an developer of surgical oncology technologies and products, today announced the closing of its $5 million Series A funding led by Apax Partners Funds, with the participation of existing seed investors: Zeev Mozes Group, the Reich family and additional investors.

Dune Medical Devices founder and CEO Dr. Dan Hashimshony, said: “Completing this financing will enable Dune Medical Devices to accelerate R&D and bring us closer to turning our unique cutting edge technology into valuable solutions and products in the field of surgical oncology. Three directors will be appointed to Dune’s Board of Directors as part of this investment: Dr. Morry Blumenfeld, who has 34 years of experience in the field as a senior executive at GE Medical, Guy Shinar, former CEO of X-technologies, and Amos Goren, head of Apax Partners’ European Healthcare team.
