Israel and Jordan mull joint tourism packages

At the World Travel Market in London, Israel and Jordan's tourism ministers met for the first time since the intifada.

Israel and Jordan will favor the marketing of joint tourism packages and will work towards preparing a joint declaration of intent for promoting health tourism at the Dead Sea.

Minister of Tourism Gideon Ezra and Jordanian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Alia Bouran reached agreements to that effect last night at the World Travel Market in London. Dr. Bouran also accepted Ezra's invitation to visit Israel. This was the first meeting between Israel and Jordan's tourism ministers since the outbreak of the intifada in September 2000.
