Celerica raises $8m at $30.5m company value

Most existing investors participated in the round, including Pitango, Platinum Neurone, Charles River, Sunrise Finance, Star, and SFKT Technologies.

Start-up Celerica recently completed an $8 million private placement from most of its existing investors. The placement was held at a company value of $30.5 million, after money.

Together with the current round, Celerica has raise $28.5 million. Its investors include Pitango Venture Capital, Star Ventures, Platinum Neurone Ventures (PNV), Charles River Ventures, Shrem Fudim Kelner Technologies (TASE:SFKT), and the Sunrise Financial Group. Celerica raised $18 million in its previous financing round in 2002, at a company value of $40 million, after money. Pitango led that round.

Celerica develops radio frequency (RF) products for connectivity between wireless cells, thereby expanding the capacity of wireless infrastructures in urban areas, enabling mobile telephone operators to quickly add wireless sites at low cost.
