Alliance wins $2m US Army tire contract

Alliance will supply tires for development work vehicles for three years.

Tire manufacturer Alliance Tire Co. (TASE: ALIN), controlled by Eliezer Fishman, announced today that it had won five tenders totaling $2 million to supply tires to the US Army for three years.

Alliance will supply tires for development work vehicles. The company is an authorized supplier of the US government. Its tires have been tested in US Army laboratories, and found suitable for trucks, forklifts, field transportation vehicles, and development work vehicles. Alliance tires appear on the Cooperative Approved Tire List (CATL), which entitles the company to compete in tire tenders for the US Army and other US government agencies.

Alliance president Joseph Anglister said, “Winning the tender constitutes an opportunity for Alliance to expand its activity in the US, and creates potential for large volumes of tire supplies.” He added, “Winning the tender highlights the fact that Alliance meets the highest standards for tire manufacturing, and offers advanced and safe tires of outstanding quality.”

Eliezer Fishman is a controlling shareholder in "Globes".
